Your file stays your file
Many editors rewrite the whole file when they save. They change line endings, spacing, or list symbols you never touched. PilcrowMD writes back exactly what you typed:
- No silent reformatting.
- No half-written file if something goes wrong while saving.
- If a file isn't saved as UTF-8, PilcrowMD won't save over it. It offers Save a copy instead, so the original stays untouched.
